The science
How NUFACE works
A five-minute ritual that works beneath the surface, using gentle microcurrent and light to tone, lift, and refresh the face and neck.
A current your face already knows
Your body runs on electrical signals. NUFACE uses microcurrent, a low-level waveform measured in millionths of an amp, to echo the signals your muscles already respond to. The result is a lifted, more sculpted look you can feel working, in minutes a day.
Microcurrent for tone, light for glow
The waveform travels through a conductive layer to the underlying muscles, supporting a firmer, more defined contour. Add the Trinity+ LED attachment for warmed red and amber light that complements your lift with a smoother, more radiant finish.
Where it fits in your routine
NUFACE is a treatment step, not a replacement for skincare. Use it on clean skin with a conductive gel, then follow with your usual serums and moisturizer.

- 01
Prep
Cleanse skin and apply a conductive gel or Activator so the current can glide and transmit.
- 02
Lift
Glide the spheres in upward sweeps along the cheek, jaw, and brow. Keep contact and let the device do the work.
- 03
Finish
Add red light on Trinity+ if you like, then follow with your usual serums and moisturizer.
- 04
Repeat
Five minutes a day builds results that last. Ease into three to four sessions a week to maintain.
Questions, answered
Is microcurrent safe for daily use?
Yes. NUFACE microcurrent is FDA-cleared and designed for everyday use, typically five minutes a session. Most people use it once a day, then maintain with three to four sessions a week. If you have a medical condition such as epilepsy, are pregnant, or have an implanted device, please check with your physician first.
How does microcurrent work on the face?
Microcurrent sends a low-level current, measured in millionths of an amp, that mirrors the body's own electrical signals. Applied through a conductive gel, it stimulates the muscles beneath the skin. Consistent use produces a lifted, more toned appearance, the way a workout tones the body.
How soon will I see results?
Many users notice a lifted, more sculpted look immediately after the first treatment. These visible results build and last longer with consistent use over the first 60 days, which is why we recommend a daily ritual to start.
Does microcurrent work on the neck?
Yes. Glide the spheres in upward passes along the sides and front of the neck, below the chin. Avoid the central midline over the thyroid, the same way you would with any electrical device on the neck. A daily pass supports a firmer, smoother neck over time.
Do I need the conductive gel?
Yes. Microcurrent needs a water-based conductor to glide and transmit. Our Activator and Aqua Gel Patches are formulated to pair with the device, but any water-based gel works. Avoid oil-based products, which block the current.
What is the difference between Trinity+ and MINI+?
Trinity+ is the full-face system with interchangeable attachments for eyes, lips, and red light. MINI+ is the pocket-sized essential for cheeks, jaw, and brow on the go. See Find your fit to compare every device.
Can I use microcurrent after Botox or fillers?
Wait for the window your injector recommends, usually two weeks after Botox and two to four weeks after filler, before resuming microcurrent. Microcurrent works the muscles and tissue beneath, so it can move product or shorten a treatment if used too soon. Check with your injector for your specific case.
Can I use my own skincare?
You can layer serums beneath the conductive gel, but the treatment pass requires a conductive layer on top. Our boosters are designed to work under microcurrent without disrupting the current.
